After a year of saving and improving our credit scores, my wife and I decided it was time to move forward with the process of buying a house. While many of our friends and family had a lot of vague information on where to start, we decided that a realtor would be the best starting point to help guide us on our journey. Fortunately, we heard about Shane as soon as we began to talk with family about starting the home buying process, as he and his family had just moved across the street from my parents. Our first interaction with Shane set a foundation that would help make buying our first home a much easier, stress free and efficient process than I could have ever imagined.After being referred to Shane, we received a call a mere 24 hours later wanting to touch base and see what kind of house we were looking for, location and budget. We then discussed how we needed to approach the finances of the home buying process and were referred to a lender that he worked with, and within an hour were pre-approved and ready to start the hunt! Within 2 days, and after providing Shane with a house that we had found through Trulia, we had our first viewing already scheduled. At our first house, we quickly learned that what you see online in no way paints a clear picture of what you will actually see in person. After checking out the home that we had found, Shane took over and showed us houses that he had found within the areas we had talked about. About 3 days later, my wife and Shane set out for a day of house hunting. As I was working that day, I asked to be included in a video call for the houses they toured, and everyone happily obliged. Within 3 hours of seeing a mixture of homes, Shane introduced us to a builder that was a very short drive from our work. Even though it was raining, we could tell that we had found our new home. From start to finish, a process that we had no idea how to do on our own, Shane helped us get financing and find a wonderful home in the course of a week. If we had any questions, either of us could send him a text and were always responded to immediately. Shane went above and beyond, even after finding our house, making sure to be present for our home inspection, our first walkthrough and final walkthrough. We were especially impressed when at our first walkthrough, an experience we did not think would be as in depth as it was, Shane was there helping us identify issues that our untrained eyes would have never found without his help. Shane was present for the closing of our house and has stayed in contact over the last 2 weeks to make sure that everything was taken care of, and to see if we had any further questions. I can say, without hesitation, that we were extremely lucky to get in touch with Shane. He has showed his dedication to his job and his clients are second to none. When we had no idea where to even start, Shane guided us in the right direction and made sure that we understood every step of the process.
